US doesn’t comment on Russia’s charges of Turkish terrorist oil trade
WASHINGTON, Dec 3 (PRIME) -- The U.S. White House refused to comment on Wednesday on Russia’s accusations of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and his family benefiting from the illegal smuggling of oil from the Islamic State.
The White House representative Josh Earnest told reporters that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government was the main consumer of the Islamic State illegal oil.
On Wednesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry provided satellite images showing that people in Erdogan’s circle were participating in oil business in Islamic State-held territory in Syria and Iraq.
